hi, I’m aditi

I’m a product designer that likes to make fun things!

My work revolves around people, communities and narratives. I like using speculative narratives to push the boundaries of what can be, I think they are an exciting platform to design for our future!

I recently completed my graduate thesis at Parsons School of Design - a tabletop game about scale set in an absurd (fictional) abstraction of our real world. I’m working on a short film using 3D motion graphics and CGI, about identity and society (the background video is a part of my film!).

My recent work includes a project that looks at wayfinding and navigating inside a museum[See more]. The design process included extensive market research, usability research on existing products as well as in-depth user interviews.

I believe that good design is informed by critical and analytical research. As part of a class at the New School for Social Research, I also submitted a proposal for evaluating the usability of the One Stop Center’s Chatbot[See more].

My creative practice takes me to different forms and mediums of making and thinking. Over the past two years, I’ve dabbled in creative coding (with Javascript, Python and Unity), physical computation, 3D motion graphics and more. I’ve used these mediums of making to explore speculative thinking, creating impactful and meaningful products.
